Starting as a small farm many years ago just outside of the city limits, this property, more commonly known as “The Schmidt Family Farm,” raised and sold vegetables to the local folks in the area.

13.4 acres of this “prime property” was purchased by School District #742 in 1963 and became well known as a recreational area by nearby residents. The City then purchased and now maintains a portion of the property, better known as “Schmidt Park,” which contains a hockey rink and tennis courts.

School District #742 made the decision in 2006 to sell the property which was then purchased by D.G.C. Properties, LLC. In July 2007, the City of St. Cloud approved the design and layout for a neighborhood that would blend together with the existing neighborhood.

The primary goal was to create a unique little community of “Active Adult” living; thus the name “Paradise Park.”

“Paradise Park” consists of 37 Patio Homes, (24 Twin Units and 13 Singles) all with sod and underground sprinklers. These homes are all part of a Master Planned “Home Owners Association” which provides lawn care (including fertilizing), tree pruning and snow removal. A large variety of floor plans and home styles are available for you to choose from.

There are also 12 “Custom Built” lots that are not a part of the “Home Owners Association.” These lot sizes are approximately 80’ wide x 137’ deep and most are wooded. This beautiful neighborhood offers many other features such as colorful “Rain Water Gardens” with a wide variety of flowering plants, walking trails and a City Park for your further enjoyment!
